DEPOSITS/CONFIRMATIONS: To confirm a reservation for the attendees, the Hotel requires a first night's deposit, refundable up to seventy-two (72) hours prior to arrival. Major credit cards are acceptable to establish prepayment. Reservations cancelled within seventy-two (72) hours of the arrival date will be assessed a no-show charge of one (1) night room and tax at the Group rate in effect for this Event and will be charged against the individual credit card on file for the attendee. The Hotel requests that we inform our attendees of this obligation.

EARLY DEPARTURE FEE: In the event that a guest who has requested a room within the Group block checks out prior to the guest’s reserved check-out date, the Hotel will add an early departure fee, currently $25, to the guest’s individual account. Guests wishing to avoid an early departure fee should advise the Hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay. The Hotel will inform members of the group of this potential charge, in writing, at check-in and requests that CalChess also inform attendees of this obligation.

DIRECTIONS:
From San Jose Airport: As you exit the airport, turn right on Guadalupe Pkwy., go 2 miles. Take freeway 87 South, proceed ½ mile to Park Ave./San Carlos Exit. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left. Go 1 block to Almaden Blvd., turn right. Go 1 block to San Carlos, the Hilton is on the left.
From Sacramento: Hwy 5 South 45-50 miles to Stockton and follow directions from Stockton.
From Stockton: Continue 13 miles South on Hwy 5 to Hwy 205 West. Proceed 15 miles to Hwy 580 west, continue 20 miles to the 680 Interchange (Pleasanton). Follow directions from Pleasanton.
From Pleasanton: Continue 30 miles on Hwy 680 South. At Hwy 101, the Interstate 680 becomes the Interstate 280. Continue 3.5 miles to Guadalupe Pkwy Hwy87 North, toward San Jose Airport. Take the Santa Clara Ave. exit. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right. Go 1 block to Almaden Blvd, turn right. Go 3 blocks to San Carlos, the Hilton is on the left.
From LA via Hwy101/Gilroy Highway 101 North: 23 miles past Gilroy take Hwy 85 North. Go 4.5 miles to Hwy 87 North. Go 8 miles to Santa Clara Ave. exit. At bottom of ramp, turn right. Go 1 block to Almaden Blvd turn right. Go 3 blocks to San Carlos, the Hilton is on the left.
From Santa Cruz/Los Gatos: Take Highway 17 North. Exit Interstate 280 South. Go 3 miles to Vine St./Almaden Blvd. Stay in left lane. At bottom of the ramp, go through the intersection and turn left, go 2 blocks, the Hilton is on the right.
From San Francisco Area: From Downtown, Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge... Follow signs to Hwy 280 South. Take Highway 280 South approx. 60 miles into San Jose. Take the Vine St./Almaden Blvd., stay in the left lane. At bottom of ramp, go through the intersection and turn left, go 2 blocks, the Hilton is on the right.
From SFO: As you exit the airport, watch for signs reading Highway 101 South (San Jose). Proceed approx. 40 miles to Hwy 87 (Guadalupe Pkwy) South. Go 3 miles to the San Carlos/Park Ave. exit. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left. Go 1 block to Almaden Blvd., turn right. Go 1 block to San Carlos, the Hilton is on the left.
From Oakland: Take Hwy 880 South to San Jose. Take Hwy 280 south. Go 3 miles to the Vine St./Almaden Blvd. Stay in the left lane. At the bottom of ramp, go through the intersection and turn left, go 2 blocks; the Hilton is on the left.
