Denker Qualifier and Regional Championship The Denker Qualifier is scheduled at the same time as the Regional Championship for March 19-21, 2010 to avoid conflict with National High School Championship.
The Regional Championship is a great opportunity to play and acclimatize (re-acclimatize) to the State Championship conditions with affordable entry fees.
1. Hotel is the Tournament Site:
Hyatt Regency Hotel is connected to the convention center at 5101 Great America Parkway.
2. Trophies:
Trophies to all top 20 players and top 10 teams.
3. Varsity/Championship section cutoffs:
The Varsity/Championship section cutoffs for this year are as follows: K-3V is 800, 4-6V is 900, 7-8V is 900, and 9-12V is 1200.
4. 1-Day Championship Schedules:
K-3 Champ (800+) and 4-6 Champ (900+) offer the convenience of one-day schedule and G/60 schedule.
5. 2-Day Championship Schedules:
K-6 Elite (900+) offers 2-day option for those who want G/75 schedule with 6 rounds over 2 days.
6. 3-Day & 2-Day Elite Schedule:7-8 Varsity and 9-12 Varsity offer an elite event with first 3 rounds G/90 and the last 3 rounds G/120. This starts on Friday at 5:45pm. If you want to join the 2-day schedule of this tournament, you can do so by playing the first three rounds as G/60 on Saturday. 7. High School Varsity Play-up Restriction: Must be a High School Student or rated at least 1200 to play in the High School 1200+ section. 8. Rating Supplement: All sections will use the March supplement for ratings!
