Financial AidBay Area Chess and Success Chess have agreed to offer Scholarship (not affiliated with CalChess) and other funds to provide a limited number of financial aid awards for entry into the CalChess State Scholastic Championships based on need and merit of the chess player. The Financial Aid Committee consists of Alan Kirshner, Ph.D., FM Bela Evans, and Salman Azhar, Ph.D. We are looking for sponsorships in other forms as well. Please see sponsors for information on personal and corporate sponsorships.

1. Send a letter from your principal or some other proof that you are on the school free lunch program.
OR
2. If you believe you lack resources to attend the States and are not on the free school lunch program, please send a copy of the most recent payroll stub and the latest income tax return of the player's parent(s) or guardian(s) .

3. If you are a coach and you believe you have a number of children who need financial aid, please contact us.
