Players can move up to a higher grade and/or rating division but never down!
Unrated and u600 players in grades K-3 can play in two tournaments on Saturday and Sunday (K-6 Unrated or K-6 Novice u600).

Unrateds can only play in unrated section or in the Varsity section.
Players in grades 1-3 who are rated under 500 can play in 1-3 u500 or 1-3 unrated. Players in grades 4-6 who are rated under 600 can play in 4-6 u600 and 4-6 unrated.We will run the tournament according to the USCF Rule Book and the modifications codified in 2007 for our scholastic competition (see below).
